Illustrated dust jacket over grey cloth with a black and white illustrated frontis and illustrated plates throughout. There is also colour illustrated plates and black and white illustrations. Moderate tanning to pages with heavier tanning to pastedowns and endpapers. Light tanning to text block edges and front hinge is cracked with exposed netting. Boards have visible rubbing and mild bumping to corners. Fair crushing to spine ends and visible edge wear and sunning to spine. Unclipped jacket with visible edge wear and rubbing. Splitting to joints and visible tearing to corners, edges and spine ends. Heavier rubbing to spine and sunning to interior.

Boards have mild edge-wear with bumping to corners. Light crushing to spine. Gilt lettering remains bright and clear. Unclipped jacket. Panels have light edge wear with tears and creasing. Visible tear to front panel. Visible tanning to spine.

DJ shows toning and scuffing along with numerous bumps and small tears along edges. The original price sticker of 20/-net is still present on the front flap. Blue cloth boards underneath her clean except for along the edges. The illustration on the front board is still bright. Edges and corners show bump/wear. Internal binding is good, no hinge issues. No signatures or bookplates, no library markings etc. On the bottom exterior page edge there is a small pen mark which measures about one quarter of an inch. This is not a remainder mark but appears more to be just where the book bumped up against a pen. No other handwriting found inside or out. The copyright page states ninth impression, 1961.

Undated publication, birthday greeting May 1950, royalty to The Hospital for Sick Children. 32 pages with colour drawings on 16 pages. Book in good+ condition but cover which was held by staples has parted with book, birthday greetings to previous owner inside front cover, previous owners name on top front cover and some wear to spine and front and back of cover (see photo for general impression). This is a small book, postage can be reduced in Australia but no tracking, contact me.
