About This Item
New York: Frederick A. Stokes Company, 1936. Cloth. Near Fine/Very Good +. SIGNED BY AUTHOR EDWARD VAN EVERY AND ALSO BY LEGENDARY SAN FRANCSCO CHRONICLE SPORTS COLUMNIST JACK ROSENBAUM on the front free endpaper. A tight, very impressive copy to boot of the 1936 1st edition. Clean and Near Fine in a crisp, price-intact ($1.00), VG+ to Near Fine dustjacket, with one small piece of clear tape reinforcing the spine crown inconspicuously at the inside of the dustjacket and very light creasing --with just a touch of mild chipping-- along the panel edges. 12mo, "the complete and thrilling picture of the rise of the unknown Joe Barrow to the heights where as Joe Louis he can find few men willing to challenge his right to fistic supremacy" (from the front dustjacket flap).
