About This Item
A scarce first printing of the first edition [Doubleday Doran Garden City New York 1928], inscribed by author Stephen Benet directly on the front free end paper. The book is in near fine condition, despite its age, with no remainder marks, a tight and square binding, nice top stain, with no owner inscriptions or highlighting and no staining or marking. The dust jacket is in very good condition, not price-clipped ($2.50), with several chips, especially at the spine. Nevertheless, it presents nicely under mylar. It is now protected by an archival cover which is easily removable, with no tape or adhesive used. Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information.
Synopsis
