Condition: Very good, with light shelfwear to covers and light bumping to top of spine. Inscribed to the previous owner (who used to work for him) by Sir John Summerson and dated 16 August 1985. Dustjacket condition: Very good, with light shelfwear. 128pp. Over 200 illustrations including 64 in colour. This book presents the major works of Sir John Soane (1753-1837) in b/w photographs and also the reproduction in colour of over 60 of the watercolours from the Soane Museum archives which in many cases remain the only surviving record of his work. The book also includes essays by Sir John Summerson, David Watkin and G.-Tilman Mellinghoff..
