The book in New, unread condition with a New dust jacket. I've placed the dust jacket into an archival Brodart protective sleeve. The myth of a man who planted appleseeds wherever he went was in real life a man named James Chapman. The author brings this most eccentric of American folk heroes to life, providing the reader with both the legend and the reality. The book is bound in speckled ivory boards with a green spine and die-stamped gilt spine titles. The book measures 6 1/2 by 9 1/2 inches and includes 320 pages, with Index. The book includes maps and some primitive period drawings.. First Edition. Hard Cover. New/New. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
