2001. Painting. Illus. by Jonathan Pomroy. Fine. Framed. Signed by THE ARTIST. 480mm x 560mm. A fine watercolour study of a Jay. Signed to the bottom right hand corner by the artist. The image size is approximately 270mm x 350mm (Landscape). The overall size including mount and frame is 460 x 540 mm. In fine condition, mount clean with ruled lines. Gilt frame over red, very good with a little rubbing and a few small chips, new back with hanging rings supplied. The picture has been removed and the glass cleaned and reassembled. A well executed ornithological watercolour with great detail and vibrant colours. [ Biography -Jonathan Pomroy Since leaving art college in Bristol Jonathan has been a freelance wildlife and landscape artist, exhibiting at such venues as Birdscapes Gallery, Norfolk and the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust reserves Slimbridge, Arundel and The Wetland Centre at Barnes. Annual exhibitions at The West Barn, Bradford on Avon and notably the Society of Wildlife Artists annual exhibition at the Mall Galleries. Since 2014 he has exhibited annually in the art marquee at the Birdfair, Rutland Water. His work is on permanent display at Birdscapes Gallery, Norfolk and Nunnington Galleries. He works mainly on location in watercolour and pencil but also in oils and most prolifically ornithological studies in nature. Jonathan is involved with the Swift Conservation and published On Crescent Wings- a Portrait of the Swift in 2018.].
