Kegan Paul, Trench Trubner & Co. Full-Leather. Fine. Small 4to. ND (ca. 1930), frontispiece + XXIV + 272 p. 30 plates, by H. Alken, Phiz and W. Heath. Includes preface of the 1838 first ed. and the 1843 second ed. This is a sumptuous edition which would appear to be an extravagant facsiimile of the second ed. - circa 1930? Many of the plates with titled tissue guards are brilliantly hand coloured as is the frontispiece and front vignette. It is bound in full red leather by Riviere & Son and is handsomely decorated in gilt with hunting motifs. All edges are gilt. In superb condition - a treat of a book.
