In addition, Hill adds: "This voyage was especially significant for the natural history data collected ("Natural history notices' p. [353]-474). The ship sailed from Sydney under the command of Sir William Wiseman to display the British flag in the different archipelagoes of the western Pacific. Visits were made to Lord Howe Island, Norfolk Island, and Niue or Savage Island; Samoa, tonga, and Fiji; the New Herbrides, Santa Cruz and Solomon Islands; New Cledonia; and the Loyalty Islands." This is a fine copy in original green cloth binding from the libraries of Clifford and Streeter. (Ferguson, 7376; Hill, pp. 33-34)

It does touch the image of a few plates, but is mostly in the blank space. Outside edge of leaves are thumbed, and there is some chipping on the edges of a few leaves. Beyond the tide mark seen in the lower outside corners, the plates are generally very bright and intact. Due to weight, additional charges will apply for International shipping..
