No owners' marks; the top page block edge bears some dust-spotting, and the page edges are toned from age, otherwise clean; binding is somewhat relaxed, but secure; the spine is slightly canted and creased beneath the cloth, and there is rub-through along the top and bottom edges of the hard cover, otherwise well-preserved and sound. 599 pp. with numerous full-page black and white prints. A history of swordsmanship with particular attention paid to French swordsmen from the Middle Ages to the contemporary period.; 8vo.
