About This Item
New York; (1971): Burt Franklin. Octavo. xlviii, 259 pages. Translated with notes and introduction by Clements R. Markham. The journal of Columbus is a vital part of the early records of great sea voyages including that of Cabot and Gaspar Corte Real. It is certain that the Americas would have been reached within that era around 1500 but these accounts provide the most important early background of the events. Bound in blue cloth, spine lettering gilt. A fine bright copy.
