London: Longmans, Green, Reader, and Dyer; and Williams and Norgate, 1881 A good copy of Vol 15 of the Journal of the Proceedings, Zoology, with some papers on the Challenger Expedition by George Busk and Rev R B Watson; and papers citing new species from Madagascar, North Pole, Spain and Vera Cruz. With 29 plates, 2 of which are tinted. In half leather binding with marbled boards. Bound for the Geological Society with their name in gilt on the spine and their rules on the front pastedown. There are library stamps to the reverse of plates. The binding has wear to spine joints (which are fragile), the top and bottom of the spine and corners and some scuffing. The contents are in very good clean condition.
