Octavo, [ii], vi, xx, 544 pages plus 19 plates and a folding map (560 × 715mm) tipped in on the rear pastedown. Papered boards; extremities slightly bumped; spine lightly mottled; an excellent copy with the dustwrapper lightly sunned and creased on the spine. With the ink ownership details (National Museum, 20 January 1997) and ownership label of pioneering desert field archaeologist Professor Mike Smith AM. One of the Les Hiddins series of facsimiles; the six-page introduction by Hiddins and three of the plates are new to this edition. The map was originally issued separately; in this instance it is 'abridged for this facsimile'.
