Uncut. Signed by Thomas Thistlethwayte (of Southwick Park Hants.) on title-page and his stamp on front pastedown. Neat repairs at heads of spine. Some rubbing to extremities. First edition. [8], 323, [1] ; [4], 304 pp. Printed by Richard Taylor. 2 vols. 8vo. Captain Lyon set out for Mexico in January 1826 as one of the Commissioners of the Real del Monte Mining Company, and on his way back from New York was wrecked at Holyhead and lost all his papers. This work contains an account of his personal adventures throughout Mexico during 8 months and his comments on the mining industry there. Sabin 42852; Hill, p. 186
