Edinburgh: David Douglas, 1890. TWO VOLUMES UNIFORMLY BOUND. Marbled boards with matching endpapers. Panelled spine with gilt decorations, two brown leather spine labels. SIGNED BINDING by Mudie. Both volumes have portrait frontispieces with captioned tissue-guards. Title-page vignettes. Volume 1 has folding map at p.414 with 2 small tears, no paper loss. Owner's signature in a small neat hand on front preliminary page each volume. Sme occasional light foxing, never heavy. A very nice two-volume set by a famous binder. 416, 517pp. A companion binding to our #015454.. First Edition. 1/2 Brown Morocco. Minor Edge and Corner Wear/No Dust Jacket. Demy Octavo.
