Sabin 78171. Arctic Bibliog 15614. Hill p. 566: "an account of his voyage. . . whaling and exploration of the Scoresby Sound region in search for Eskimo settlements and for magnetic and other observations, including descriptions of ice conditions, physical features, ocean currents, ruins of Eskimo dwellings. . . . [his] discoveries were greater in importance and number than those of any other single navigator in northern waters." The appendices include list of plants by W. J. Hooker and extracts of two other whalers of 1822, lists of rocks and minerals and of animals found on the coast of Greenland. A picture of this book is available on request by email.
