New York : The Heritage Press, 1963 Illustrated pale blue cloth boards with black blocked title slip and gilt titles to spine in publisher's blue cloth covered slip case. 290 x 220 mm approx. Maps to end papers, xvi + 418 pp Illustrated with 5 double page spread black and two colour printed + 65 b/w drawings in the style of wood cuts + Medallion head of Columbus to title by Lima de Freitas. The maps to end papers are also by the same artist and redrawn from two sections of Juan de la Cosa's world map of 1506. 7 other line maps in text all as per the Heritage Club Sandglass flyer for the book loosely laid in. VG in Near Fine slip case (Book- a little colour rubbing to extremities including spine edges, slight tanning of end paper maps in gutter- probably a reaction to the glue/ mull. No previous owner name or insc. No other defects. Slip Case - very clean with no defects).Please see our images of the actual book offered for sale for further details and condition.
