London: W. Strahan; and T. Cadell, 1775 [2], 384pp, [2 errata], printed on laid paper, in later green morocco binding with gilt borders and thistles [gilt still bright], marbled endpapers, top edges gilt, inner dentelles, 5 raised bands on gilt decorated spine, silk page marker intact, binding and hinges tight. Errata page contains 12 lines; verso of D8 is correctly numbered page 48 in larger type; verso of U4 is numbered 226 instead of 296. Interior shows light foxing, first word on page 36 crossed out and correctly penned "quired", early signature penned on original ffp, dated '81.
