London: Hodder and Stoughton, 1974. First edition. Cloth. Near Fine/Very Good Indeed. 8.5" by 5.5". None. A very smart first edition of this autobiography from writer Elizabeth Goudge. First edition. Illustrated with eight plates of photographs. Collated complete. Contents page details illustrations are found between pages 128 and 129, they are placed between 132 and 133 in this copy. The biography of English writer, Elizabeth de Beauchamp Goudge, best known for her children's books. She won the Carnegie Medal for British children's books in 1946 for The Little White Horse. This work "is an attempt to recapture happy memories, and with them some of the joy in places and people that I have known." In the original green cloth binding. Externally, excellent. Original unclipped dust wrapper is also excellent with light shelf wear and the odd small mark to the board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout. Near Fine
