Judah Leon Magnes was a prominent Reform rabbi in both the United States and Mandatory Palestine. Magnes also founded I ud (Unity), an association dedicated to the advancement of Arab-Jewish reconciliation, and advocated an Arab-Jewish state that would be part of an Arab Federation. He worked in I ud with the renowned religious philosopher Martin Buber.
