New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1905. First American edition. Hardcover. Very Good. Vol. 1- xxv + 320 pages. Vol. 2- 324 pages. One illustration in each volume + frontis illustration in Vol. 1 with tissue. 6 x 9 in. Red cloth binding, gilt lettering on spines, top edge of text block gilt. Condition of each volume is VERY GOOD: light wear and soiling to covers and spines, spines lightly darkened, foxing to edges of text block and end papers, pages clean, binding tight, small book plate in each volume on inside of front cover. Vol. 1- frontis illustration loose, several white marks on front cover. Vol. 2- light fading to front spine edge, top rear spine corner worn, white marks on front cover, light foxing to upper edge of first few pages.
