Boston: Wilkins, Carter, & Co.. Fair. 1850. First Edition (?). Hardcover. Lacks top 3/8" of spine, 20% of printed text on front board and 70% of text on rear board, lacks front free end-paper, page 7/8 lacks 1" lower corner effecting several notes, page 25/26 lacks a third of the bottom half with loss of text. ; Oblong 12mo; Leather and printed salmon colored boards, pages [1-5]-125, [126], [4], [127]-176. **Pages [127]-176 are "The Children of Jerusalem," arranged from Felician David. Please see Dorothy Veinus Hagan's Felician David, 1810-1876. A Composer and a Cause, 1985. This book of music is not listed in Rosenbach's American Jewish Bibliography or Sabin. As this work was performed in Boston in March, 1849, and copyright in Boston in 1849, it would appear to take precedence over the New York printing. .
