Contemporary calf, blind rules to boards, raised bands and recent lettering piece to spine, later repairs near center of backstrip and corners, early hand-lettered title to fore-edge of text block, endpapers renewed. Light rubbing and a few minor scuffs to boards, moderate rubbing to extremities, minor chipping to head of spine, small crack to lower section of backstrip. Woodcut vignette to head of title page, woodcut head-pieces. Moderate toning to text, brief early annotations in a few places, light soiling and some edgewear and crinkling to title page, some edgewear to final leaves of text, upper quarter lacking from final (blank) leaf.
