Iacobi: Declaring by Certaine Characters, Which of the Same Statutes or Braunches of Statutes, Be Repealed, Which be Expired, Which be Altered in the Whole, or Part, Which be Worne out of Use, Which Were Ordained for Particular Persons, or Places, And Which Being Generall, In Force, And Use, Are Inserted in the Severall Titles of this Abridgement. Whereunto is Annexed an Abridgement of All the Statutes, Whereof the Whole or Any Part is Generall, In Force, And Use, With Certaine Quaeres, Cautions, And Advertisements of Such Things that be Doubtfull, Together with the Authoritie and Duetie of Iustices, Sherifes, Coroners, Escheators, Maiors, Bailifes, Customers, Stewards of Leetes and Liberties, And What Things by Severall Statutes in Force they Must, May, Ought, Or are Compellable to Doe. London: Printed for the Company of Stationers, 1612. [viii], 447, 447-461, [4] ff. Final leaf blank. Lacking initial blank leaf, otherwise complete. Folio (11-1/4" x 7"). Contemporary calf, blind rules to boards, raised bands and recent lettering piece to spine, later repairs near center of backstrip and corners, early hand-lettered title to fore-edge of text block, endpapers renewed. Light rubbing and a few minor scuffs to boards, moderate rubbing to extremities, minor chipping to head of spine, small crack to lower section of backstrip. Woodcut vignette to head of title page, woodcut head-pieces. Moderate toning to text, brief early annotations in a few places, light soiling and some edgewear and crinkling to title page, some edgewear to final leaves of text, upper quarter lacking from final (blank) leaf. An attractive copy. $950. * Third edition. Pulton was a commoner of Brasenose College, Oxford, a fellow of Christ's College, Cambridge, and a member of Lincoln's Inn. As a Catholic Pulton was not allowed to practice, so he devoted his energies to editi.
