About This Item
Signed by the author and presented to the previous owner by the Assistant Defence Attache to the Republic of the Philippines. The author enlisted in the RAAF in 1942 wanting to fly aircraft but found himself in top secret wireless units working to intercept radio transmissions sent in Japanese katakana code which when analysed produced highly reliable intelligence that drastically shortened the war in the Pacific (about two years) - at the time of publication the Australian Government had not given any recognition of the RAAF katakana operators despite Allied commanders praising them. 204 pages with illustrations throughout. Book in very good+ condition with previous owners sticker on first page..
