Cairo: Bulak, 1828 Book. Good. Hardcover. 1st Edition. Ottoman Turkish text, 160 p with 1 errata. Printed in Bulak (Matba'at sahib al Futuhat al Bahira) 1244 by the director of the printing house, (Nicola) Masabki, the first or the second director after RAPHAEL ANTOINE ZAKHOUR (DON RAPHAEL). Masabki was born in Aleppo and sent (in the first mission) to Italy by Muhammad Ali Pasha in c. 1815 to learn the printing methods, and directed the printing house in 1821 until his death in 1831. The first work published in Bulak was after one or tow years of it's establishment, Dizionario Italiano e Arabo, by Raphael Antoine Zakhour in 1822 (See inventory no. 000418). The military history during the II Catherine period between Russia and the Ottoman state including the relations with England and France and the Ottoman point of view. This Ottoman Turkish translation was edited by Sa'dullah Sa'id Amidi. Occasional minor holes and light partial marginal age browning. Otherwise, Very good. Later hard cover binding, loose. Crimea, Russia, the Ottoman state, Egypt, Mehmed Ali Pasha, Ibrahim Pasha, Swiss, Denmark, England,France, Persia, Flemish, battles, treaties, Catherine II and the Russian policy and war in the central Asia.
