A large group of expat Australian men and German Catholic missionaries were trapped on New Ireland (New Guinea), many interned by the Japanese in September 1942 at Kavieng. They disappeared without trace in March 1944. The massacre was concealed by the Japanese and wasn't revealed until 1947. This book examines the war, the people, the crime, the cover-up and, finally, the truth.. First Edition. Soft Cover. Very Good. 8vo.
