Account of Edmund Kennedy and his ill-fated exploration of Queensland's Cape York. The 1848 expedition, based on erratically misleading information, ended in exhaustion and starvation. Kennedy and Jackey-Jackey went for help, and Kennedy was killed by pursuing aborigines. Jackey-Jackey made it to help and led the rescue party back to the starving remnants of the expedition and the beginning of his own tragedy.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo.
