About This Item
The second number of "Képes sport" the sports magazine of the Communist Hungary.
Almost entirely dedicated to the 1954 association friendly football game between the so-called Golden Team (Aranycsapat) Hungary national football team and England national football team, as return fixture from the 1953 game at the old Wembley Stadium, where Hungary had beaten England 6-3, however, England was defeated again, with the result of Hungary 7 England 1.
During the cold-war era, the sport was also part of the propaganda which could be easily traced in this number of the Hungarian state sports magazine.
