Boards scuffed and spotted, ink notation inside front flyleaf. Complete subtitle: Selections from the Private and Official Correspondence of Admiral of the Fleet Baron Keyes of Zeebrugge. This volume of the Keyes Papers is Volume 117 of the Publications of the Navy Records Society, and covers the period of World War I. The book is divided into four parts: Commodore in charge of the submarine service (August 1914-February 1915); the Dardanelles expedition (February 1915-January 1916); from the Aegean to the Grand Fleet (January 1916-September 1917); and Director of Plans and Vice-Admiral Dover (October 1917-December 1918).
