New York: [Produced by Rausen Language Division], 1967. Original publisher's wrappers. Dimensions: 14.5 x 12.5 cm. 124 pages. Text in Russian. A copy with a bit worn wrappers and soiled fore-edge. A pencil and pen notes on the title page.<br /> <br /> Vsevolod Leonidovich Pastukhov is a pianist, teacher, and music critic. He spent his youth in St. Petersburg, where he met many "Silver Age" poets, including Kuzmin, Gumilyov, Georgiy Ivanov, and others. After 1918 - in exile in Latvia. Lived in Riga, Jelgava. He ran a piano school. During World War II, he was evacuated to the West. From 1945 - in a refugee camp for displaced persons (DP CAMPS) in Munich. Since 1949 - in the USA. He lived with his second wife in Douglaston, near New York. He was co-editor of the journal "Opyty" (1953-54) and participated in the almanac "Vozdushnye Puti" (1960-67). He was a member of the circle of democratically minded Russian emigrants, "League." In 1967, shortly before the poet's death, a collection of his poems, "Fragile Flight," was published in New York.
