FIRST UK EDITION 1970, oblong 4to, 220 x 275 mm, 8¾ x 10¾ inches, colour illustrated white boards, no pagination. 14 brilliant full page coloured illustrations, each facing brief text. About a farmyard cockerel and his dreams and fears. Top edges of boards and of pages very slightly foxed. Small neat name of Margery Fisher on front endpaper (well known reviewer and historian of children's books, author of many books on the subject). Near Fine in VG+ DUSTWRAPPER (dw: not price clipped, very slightly darkened along edges and on spine, inner flaps very slightly foxed, a couple of 3 mm (1/8") closed tears to edges).
