Gilt-stamped dark red crushed morocco bound by Sangorski & Sutcliffe, all edges gilt, patterned paper end-leaves; binding square and tight. Fine. LIMITED EDITION of 750 copies, this is the first American edition of Winston Churchill's radio address upon the death of George VI of England. This is one of 100 bound in full red morocco, while 650 copies were bound in deep purplish blue. Churchill has been called the greatest English orator of the twentieth century; here he speaks with deep emotion, broadcast on the BBC throughout planet Earth.
