Hardcover. 22cm, xxxix,435,4,p., ads., with 14 photogravure portraits including frontis, 88 illustrations, 1 folding battle plan, appendices, index, t.e.g., straight ribbed dark blue cloth, gilt panel border decorations and decorations in the centre of the panels, gilt titles, gilt borders and panels decorations on the upper cover repeated in blind on the bottom, t.e.g., acid plain endpapers, a very good to fine sound copy (ds26.6). - A biography of the claimant English throne. Much about his abortive insurrection against James II, in 1685. Book includes a large battle plan of Sedgmoor.
