Hodder & Stoughton, 1960. Hardcover. Good/Acceptable. 1960. Eighth Impression. 317 pages. Pictorial jacket over red cloth. Sepia photographic frontispiece, with other plates throughout and map to rear of textblock. Pages are mildly tanned, with light foxing to edges and endpapers, but text remains clear. Binding is firm. Boards and spine have minimal shelf-wear, with light corner bumping and crushing to ends. Slight forward lean. Clipped jacket. Moderate water staining, tanning and foxing overall. Panels and spine have moderate edgewear, with noticeable chipping, tearing and creasing, with a few small sections of loss.
