Frontis tipped in colour plate of Vermeer painting a woman in blue standing in front of one of the maps in the Atlas. Illustrated in the prefatory material with b/w cuts. Heavy folio with brown hard boards and black leatherette spine, boards and spine stamped in gilt. Moderate minor shelf wear to boards, interior clean and nice, paper a bit creamy, but otherwise unmarked. Prefatory text is bilingual German and English. The texts are in various languages, including English, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Latin and French. Nice copy. Heavy for international shipping. ; Folio 13" - 23" tall; 293 pages .

Stuttgart: Belser, 1971. Leather. Very Good. Elephant Folio. 31 x 19.5 inches, 48lbs. Editon of 750 copies, this is No. 573. Commentary issued with this production by Egon Klemp is NOT present here. The binding in full brown calf with metal ornamented border and corner pieces, with three metal clasps, all edges gilt, with 38 plates of maps. The first two pages a little wrinkled at the top edge, one of the metal borders cracked in one spot but in-place. The leather scuffed in a few places and a little rubbed around the spine ends and some bands, but overall, a nice clean and tight copy and a pretty impressive facsimile.
