Calais , [c.1860?]. 1860 A volume of machine lace samples. Rebound in green cloth with the gilt tooled cloth from its original binding re-laid on the front board. 39 x 25 cms. Approximately 1000 samples on 41 leaves of blue paper with gilt borders plus blanks at the end. A few samples are missing. Some samples have printed labels of Jouare & Rieder St Pierre.Les.Calais and of other Calais producers which notepattern numbers or price.
