Hardback small quarto, no jacket as issued, very good condition, pictorial cover, black & white text-photos & drawings, family trees, corners lightly bumped, few scratches covers. 187 pp. Anthony Laube records the story of Agnes Grant Hay and her pioneering South Australian family. 'Mount Breckan', a wonderful old Victorian Gothic mansion, its tower a beacon to fishermen returning home from expeditions to the Murray mouth and beyond was built for Agnes Hay. The book also has the Hay Family and Gosse Family trees, and the details about the building of 'Mount Breckan', and many photos and drawings which bring the text alive. (No date, but 2001, Trove.)
