About This Item
London: Skeffington and Son Limited, 1951. First edition, hardcover in dustjacket. Mystery novel set in Melbourne, Australia. Very neat ink name on first blank page, top edge lightly foxed (brown spots), else a nice VG+ copy in original burgundy cloth. In a VG+ dustjacket which has had the British price clipped from the bottom corner of the front flap and "$2 - 25" (Australian dollars?) lightly inkstamped at the top of the same flap. Front panel and spine of jacket has a lovely colour illustration of a pair of hands reaching out to clutch the veil of a young woman with green eyes! An excellent copy of a scarce book rarely found in collectable condition..
