Early Mughal Painting Portfolio No. 10, Chandra, Moti; Khandalavala, Karl; Gorakshkar, Sadashiv; (eds). Published Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi, 1971. Folio up to 15" tall. Card folded portfolio with ribbon ties. Portfolio contains four pages of descriptive text by Moti Chandler and six tipped in colored plates. Text is in English. Plate I: The White Elephant; Plate II: An Encampment Scene; Plate III: Bahar falls from his horse; Plate IV: Camel fight circa; Plate V: An imaginary meeting between Jahangir and Shah Abbas of Persia; Plate VI: A Mughal Beauty. Folder is in very good condition. Plates proper are all in fine condition and remain bright and clean; borders of mats have an occasional light crease, thumb marking, age toning, tape marks and pin-pricks.
