The binding is spotted; the covers are bumped with a few score marks to the rear cover. xii & 347 pages & 1-page publisher's catalog. There are a few small stains to the front pastedown. Black-and-white frontispiece & 31 black-and-white plates. The contents are very good. <p>First edition.<p>From the library of Ellen Douglas Boardman Williams, with her bookplate on the front pastedown.
