London: Faber & Faber, 1943. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Brown cloth with stamped gilt to spine. With 16 black & white plates & 5 plans [one folding]. Boards curled with bump to fore edge of each; age darkening to pages & page edges. An age darkened dustjacket showing some wear to outer corners & to head & heel of spine panel; rubbing along flap folds & spine panel edges. Short closed tear with adjacent creases to lower rear panel. Some dust soil over all. Inscibed by the author on the first free endpage.
