This book's year of publication, 2000, marks the 80th anniversary of Lanier County's creation, and the 75th anniversary of Milltown's becoming Lakeland. The 150 years' history1820-1970, tells of the early settlers who came to what is now Lanier County, where they came from and where they homesteaded. It records the activities of their descendants and of newcomers to the area through several generaltions. Book Condition is Fine; green cloth over boards with gold lettering to front and to spine. 486pp. First Edition, Signed by Author on title page with a short inscription. B&W photos throughout. Bibliography, Appendix, Sources, Index. Clean and tight, no wear at all. Dust Jacket Condition is Fine; glossy jacket with no tears or nicks. Covered with a removable mylar dust jacket.
