Hardcover, first American printing (the British edition was published one year earlier), dark blue cloth binding, top edge gilt, floral-decorated end-papers, 328 pages, translated from the French, very well-preserved copy, mild rubbing at the corners and an attractive bookplate on the front end-paper are the only remarkable flaws .
