No writing or damage. One of the series titled Scenes from Parisian Life, part of The Human Comedy. Translated into English by Katharine Prescott Wormeley. Book is tight and clean, and appears hardly read. Top edges gilt. Front edges deckled. Copyright 1896. 222, 182, 280, and 20 pp., respectively, with the last two stories paginated consecutively..
