The First UK printing published by Jonathan Cape, London in 1927. The BOOK is in Near Fine condition. Light pushing at the spine tips. Some very slight markings to the boards. The gilt titling remains bright. Light spotting and toning to the text-block. Mild offsetting to the blank-endpapers. One neat penned previous owner's name to the upper rear blank end-paper. The publisher's advert for Doughty's 'Travels in Arabia Deserta' tipped into the rear as issued. The WRAPPER is neatly price-clipped and is in Very Good+ condition. Some edge wear with a little loss at the spine ends and corners, A few nicks and little creasing to the edges. Some age related markings but in remarkably well preserved condition due to its fragility. The wrapper is protected in a removable Brodart archival cover. Illustrations edited by Eric Kennington and maps by Herry Perry. The B/W frontis plate of Kennington's bust of Lawrence is present. An increasingly elusive title with such attributes.
