Signed by the author on the title page with her 'chop' and signed and inscribed below that. This is the author's first book and, in part, recounts her experiences on a prison farm for six years during the infamous Cultural Revolution in China. Her later life included; attending Beijing University as a student, working for the Chinese Foreign Office, the Chinese Secret Police, and defecting to the west. Most certainly, not a boring life. This is a very good copy in dust jacket. There is light creasing at the spine ends of the jacket, And, the first two pages of the Appendix are creased at the top corner.
