With a frontispiece and two full page plates. Collated complete. An exciting adventure romance novel set in sixteenth-century Belgium, under the rule of the Spanish Inquisition. Following the story of William, the Prince of Orange, and his mysterious watchdog Leatherface. Baroness Emma Orczy, was a Hungarian-born British author and playwright. She is best known for her 'Scarlet Pimpernel', series of novels which were widely popular in the United Kingdom. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, smart with some light shelf wear to the edges. Some bumping to the spine. Fading to the spine and to the edges of the boards. A few small marks to the rear board. The odd handling mark to the paste-downs and free endpapers. Small tear to the upper front free endpaper. Internally, binding slightly strained but still firmly bound. Pages lightly age-toned but otherwise very bright and clean with the odd handling mark throughout. Very Good
