Paris: Imprimerie G. Couderc, 1952. First Edition. Original Edition of this miracle play inspired by Flaubert's tale "The Legend Of Saint Julien l'Hosptalier. The play was first presented by Jan Doat and his company at the Deveche Gallery in Paris on May 25, 1949. Signed presentation from Garric on the front endpaper, to theatrical agent Ninon Tallon Karlweis. She introduced Eugene Ionesco's play "Rhinoceros" to American audiences in 1961 and had considerable influence in the new avant-garde theater. Small 8vo., printed white wraps. 93 pages. With Karlweis' name label on the front cover. D'Apres Le Conte De Falubert. Very Good (little soil & wear covers; contents clean & tight).
