Paris: Librairie De Gaume Frères, 1854. Second Edition. Hardcover. Good with no dust jacket. Second Edition. Exlibrary markings. Hinges cracked but holding on both volumes. Binding on each is sound. Front hinge on volume 2 reinforced with tape. Pages clean, tanned, with some foxing. Leatherette over boards is shelf worn with edge wear especially at corners and extremities of spine. Spines faded. Joint between front and spine on volume 2 is split. ; The author, also known as the Abbé Huc (1813-1860), was a French Catholic priest, Lazarite missionary, and traveller. ; Ex-Library; 8.5" tall; 958 pages.
