Three-quarter in green fine genuine leather, paneled spine has gilt lettering and spine, front, and back covers have profuse gilt tooling. All edges gilt with mild scratching to side and bottom edges of textblock. Contains a silk ribbon, marbled endpapers. Nameplate on front pastedown. Textblock clean. Shelved in Franklin Library. Part of Gryphon's Notable Trials Series. This edition includes an excerpt from The Tennessean entitled 'An Innocent Man was Lynched' (1982) and the official statement of the witness "who brought the case back to life." Nameplate indicates that book previously belonged to prominent forensic science Professor James E. Starrs. 1369590. Shelved Dupont Bookstore.
