1765. Etching. 295mm by 410mm (sheet). Jan Josephszoon van Goyen was a Dutch landscape painter. Weirotter was an Austrian painter, draughtsman and etcher. Lettered in lower margin with title, production details and publisher's address: "Van Goyen in." and "Weirotter Sculp. / Huquier ex.". Numbered in top right. Plate 2 from a series of four etchings of the seasons. Published in Paris by Gabriel Huquier. CONDITION : One mark on the left edge of the image. Faint horizontal crease, only really visible from the reverse. Laid paper.
